A339 Maintenance and resurfacing work to start on Monday 21 August.
West Berkshire Council will start maintenance and resurfacing work on the A339 on Monday 21 August.
The following works are part of the Government’s £5.6m Challenge Fund grant awarded by the Department for Transport in 2015 for maintenance of the A339. The works will take place off peak during the day and in the evenings to minimise disruption.
A339 Sandleford Link (between Burger King and Pinchington Lane)
A339 Vodafone to Robin Hood roundabout
- Crash barrier repairs, installation of police bays, vegetation cutting & litter picking – near side lane closures from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday starting on Monday 21 August until Monday 4 September.
- Carriageway resurfacing – road closure (Programme schedule to be confirmed) with offside lane closures from Tuesday 5 September 2017 Mondays to Fridays for 13 nights (7 pm to 11.30pm). No work will take place on Friday 8 September due to Greenham Common events.
- Drainage work, vegetation cutting & litter picking – various nearside and offside closures from Tuesday 29 August 2017 for 19 days. 9:30 am to 3:30 pm Mondays to Fridays and Saturdays 7:00 am to 1pm.
- Carriageway resurfacing – road closure from 7:00 pm to 5:30 am Mondays to Fridays from Monday 2 October 2017 for 10 nights.
Signed diversions will be in place during any road closures.
