Saturday 30th June will see the start of the month-long Hampshire Food Festival organised by local food group Hampshire Fare. Now in its eighteenth year, this award-winning festival promises over 60 tempting events for food lovers.
With the focus firmly on local, the festival is an opportunity to explore the food and drink made here in Hampshire. Tracy Nash, from Hampshire Fare explains: “The festival is a chance to meet the talented producers responsible for some of our county’s top food and drink products. There is something for all ages, tastes and budgets so have a look on the Hampshire Fare website and plan your July around the flavours of our fabulous county!”.
Food festival events will take place at venues across the county. Events include cookery masterclasses; vineyard, distillery and brewery tours; pop-up dinners; festival menus; markets and tasting events and farm visits.
In just the first week of the festival events include a Pop-up Restaurant at J&S Fish, Pork Pie and Cider Festival at Crow Farm Shop, Red Snapper Masterclass at Cabinet Rooms, A Celebration of Hampshire at King’s Head Hursley, Lyburn Farm Cheese and Veg Tour, Thai Night at Lemon and Soul Cookery School, Summer Seasonal Social at Wild Carrot, Tasting Menu with MasterChef winner Jane Devonshire, Jenkyn Place Vineyard Tour and Tasting, Hambledon Vineyard Hosts Hampshire and It’s Be Thing at The Good Life Farm Shop.
