Holiday courses, Family Fun Day and children’s theatre:
an action-packed half term at The Watermill!
Get ready for an action-packed half term at The Watermill Theatre! Learn new skills and have fun at a holiday course, enjoy a morning of tales at an interactive storytelling session and take part in Robin Hood Family Fun Day. There are opportunities for all ages and abilities and the emphasis is on having fun.
Begin the week with Suitcase Stories on Saturday 20 October at 11am. An interactive storytelling show for children 3+ and adults. Tickets £7 and £6.50.
On Monday 22 October, work with a highly trained stage combat director to discover how fights are created onstage without causing injury! Stage Combat Workshop is for ages 8-11 (10am – 12noon) and ages 12 – 16 (1pm-3pm). Price £15.
The following day on Tuesday 23 October at 10am, a Sensory Storytelling session will immerse you in an imaginative world filled with experiences for all the senses. Particularly suitable for under 4s and people of any age with severe or profound and multiple learning disabilities and their companions. Price £7, companions £1.
During the afternoon on Tuesday 23 October, join our All Welcome Choir (1pm – 4pm) to rehearse and perform a selection of songs with likeminded people. Price £15.
On Wednesday 24 October, The Watermill is hosting a Robin Hood themed Family Fun Day. This morning of activities for families and friends to enjoy together celebrates the theatre’s Christmas show, Robin Hood. Hunt for characters from Robin Hood around the garden and claim your treasure when you’ve discovered their hiding places. Listen to themed stories, take part in arts activities and dress up in a wonderful array of costumes from past Watermill productions. Sessions take place from 10am – 11.30am or 11.30am to 1pm. Tickets are £5 for children, £1 for adults.
Aspiring performers between the ages of 14 and 25 can take part in Theatre Academy to brush up on their monologue and improvisation skills on Thursday 25 October (10am – 5pm). Price £35.
