The Public Protection Partnership, which delivers Support with Confidence, a scheme which provides a list of approved care and support services in conjunction with Adult Social Care across West Berkshire, is inviting professional carers in West Berkshire to a special event.
The support with Confidence and CareMatch Introduction Event will be held on Thursday, 25 October in the Council Chamber at the West Berkshire Council offices in Market Street, Newbury between 2 and 4pm.
It is aimed at professional carers who would like to find out more about the benefits of joining registered schemes for carers offering: free e-learning and training; new client referrals; support with professional documents; networking opportunities with other carers; and a listing on the West Berkshire Council website.
Councillor Iain McCracken, Chairman of the Joint Public Protection Committee said: “Support with Confidence is a local authority scheme covering West Berkshire and Wokingham which provides a list of approved care and support services that have been vetted on the grounds of quality, safety and training. CareMatch is a scheme that links carers with clients through a hub system which means less travel and more support. We’re asking carers to join us for tea and cake on Thursday 25 October to find out more about how these two schemes can help them.”
