new people and socialise whilst keeping active. It allows you to connect with your community and make it a better place.
It can also be of great benefit to you, allowing you to gain career experience, learn valuable new skills or to perhaps increase your self-confidence.
Basingstoke Volunteer Centre can help you find the answers to what, where, when and how to volunteer. We work with many local voluntary, community and charitable organisations that are in need of volunteers in order to fulfil their mission and help the people and communities in Basingstoke and Deane.
We maintain a database of volunteering opportunities in the borough and North Hampshire. You can search and apply for roles that suit what you are looking for via www.volunteernorthhants.org. Alternatively you can visit our drop-in session in the Basingstoke Discovery Centre in the Town Centre held on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Tuesday of each month from 9.45 – 11.45.
We also offer one-to-one appointments, either in person or over the telephone, giving you the chance to tell us about your own interests. To book an appointment, register roles for Charities or Voluntary Organisations or ask any questions, you can contact us at email@example.com or phone 01256 423850, www.bvaction.org.uk. We are open Monday to Friday, 9.30 – 2.30 and are based at The Orchard in White Hart Lane, RG21 4AF alongside the Civic Offices.
Does your Business want to become more involved in Volunteering?
Many businesses allow their employees to take 1 or 2 days a year paid time to carry out volunteering within the community; there are many benefits to the employees, the company and the Voluntary Sector. Companies can register interest for Group Volunteering projects also via firstname.lastname@example.org.
