This is an open local debate formed by a panel of few key personalities such as Dr Anne Murdoch (Newbury College), Nick Carter (West Berkshire Council), Richard Deal (Deal Varney Properties), Judith Bunting (Liberal Democrats), Russell Downing (Newbury BID) and Abigail Brown (Openingz).

The aim is to discuss various topics including education, property, politics, retail, recruitment and general local issues. This is a great opportunity for you to ask your question and share your views amongst the local community.

Our moderator is Steve Jones from Negotiation Expert.

Approx 10 acre exceptionally fine traditional English garden. Rose garden (under renovation), herbaceous garden, pond garden, herb garden, vegetables and glasshouses. Many specimen trees and fine shrubs, orchard and terraces. Garden mostly designed by Arabella Lennox-Boyd.
Light refreshments incl teas, coffees, home-made cakes and light lunches.
Last entry 3.30pm. Combined admission with Inholmes £6.50, children free.
All areas have step-free access, although surface consists of gravel and mowed grass.
Visitors also welcome by arrangement March to June for groups of 15+. Please enquire about price when booking. Light refreshments.

The Despatch Rally event aims to bring together the motorcycling community to celebrate and honour the Despatch riders from whom motorcycle culture descended.
The day will consist of themed destinations and challenges throughout Dorset.
Rider challenges will include shooting, motorcycle control and navigation skills.
Points will be allocated to each activity and prizes presented at the event finale.
The Finale will boast live music, BBQ and drinks for all.

Newbury Rotary Annual Charity Sponsored Walk @ Snelsmore Common Country Park,

Our “Annual Charity Sponsored Walk” is an event allowing individuals or groups to generate sponsorship income for their own favourite charity, club, school, church etc by walking a route marshalled by the Rotary Club of Newbury.

This year the walk takes place from Snelsmore Common Country Park with an 8 mile or alternative 5 mile walk route. The routes are scenic and interesting almost all of which is on good paths. Just a little is on roads which are in any case quiet. Refreshments will be available on your return.

Details and sponsorship forms are on the Newbury Rotary website at www.newburyrotary.org (under programme & future diary) or can be obtained by emailing walk@newburyrotary.org or by telephoning 01635 42027. Interested walkers & groups can turn up on the day but it is helpful if you could let us know beforehand.

Start between 11.00 and 12.00. If you do not have your own sponsorship you are welcome to enjoy the walk with us for a small donation to Newbury Rotary Charities (include EndPolioNow, West Berks Mencap, West Berks Young Carers, Parkinson’s, The Stroke Association and other local charities)
