Top cinema releases this winter at Vue

As we head into winter there are many major cinema releases to look forward to. Here’s a low down on the great movies being released in November and December this year.
On November 11th, Johnny Depp stars as the American journalist Paul Kemp in the highly anticipated The Rum Diary. Paul takes on a freelance job in Puerto Rico for a local newspaper during the 1950s and struggles to find a balance between island culture and the expatriates who live there.
To get you into the Christmas spirit, Arthur Christmas is also opening that day. On Christmas night at the North Pole, Santa’s youngest son looks to use his father’s high-tech operation for an urgent mission.
Then on November 18th, a big wedding is taking place in the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1. The Quileute and the Volturi close in on expecting parents Edward and Bella, whose unborn child poses different threats to the wolf pack and vampire coven.
December’s big movie releases start on December 2nd with Happy Feet 2. Mumble’s son, Erik, is struggling to realize his talents in the Emperor Penguin world. Meanwhile, Mumble and his family and friends discover a new threat to their home — one that will take everyone working together to save them.
On December 9th, we’re told about all the events that lead up to Puss meeting Shrek & co in Puss and Boots 3D. This is purrrfect for young and old alike.
On December 16th, prepare for a triple surprise with three great movie releases. In Alvin and the Chipmunks 3D we see the Chipmunks and Chipettes accidentally go overboard whilst on a cruise ship and end up marooned in a tropical paradise. They discover their new turf is not as deserted as it seems.
In Sherlock Holmes 2, Sherlock Holmes and his sidekick Dr. Watson join forces to outwit and bring down their fiercest adversary, Professor Moriarty.
Also opening that night, based on the millennium trilogy books,The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is about a Journalist called Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig) who is aided by Lisbeth Salander, a young computer hacker, in his search for a woman who has been missing for forty years.
Last but not least, on December 26th Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol is the final instalment in the Misson Impossible series. The IMF is shut down when it’s implicated in the bombing of the Kremlin, causing Ethan Hunt and his new team to go rogue to clear their organisation’s name.
