Joules to join Parkway
Country fashion and lifestyle retailer Joules is set to open late spring in the Parkway shopping centre, the retail element of Standard Life Investments’ 475,000 sq ft mixed-use scheme in Newbury.
Joules has taken a 1,800 sq ft unit on a 10-year lease and this latest announcement follows a run of recent openings, including Whitewall Galleries in January and Café Rouge at the end of March. The 300,000 sq ft shopping centre is also preparing for the launch of John Lewis at home on Friday 20 April.
Centre Manager Neil Carter said “To secure another new retailer to Newbury is fantastic. Joules’ approach to countryside essentials has become iconic in recent years and the brand is tailormade to sit alongside our existing tenant mix in Parkway.”
Joules will open on East Street opposite jewellery retailers Argento and Fraser Hart. Joules’ country fashion will complement existing lifestyle brands at Parkway, which include anchor tenants Debenhams and M&S, alongside retailers Superdry, Topshop, H&M, Jigsaw, Lakeland and many others.
